Unveiling the Sweet Benefits of Vending

In this month's blog I thought it would be best to delve into the exciting world of vending, exploring its myriad benefits that often go unnoticed. I'll let it be known that it's not all glamorous as it seems, though I must admit that it truly has its benefits if one is determined to put in the work. Honestly, not everyone is willing to transport boxes and crates on a Saturday when sleeping in sounds much more appealing.
Vending is the epitome of convenience. For aspiring entrepreneurs (which I could comfortably say I was 3 years ago), it enables companies to be an accessible entry point into the business world. Being able to choose the events I wanted to attend and most importantly the set up required less capital compared to a traditional brick-and-mortar establishment, making it an attractive option as I wanted to dip my toes into entrepreneurship. It's crazy to think that this all began with me selling my first title, Missing You to now carrying over 10 products, an apparel line, and providing the service of author presentations across Canada.
I actually found this to be a perfect way to test the market and cater to specific niches. I quickly learned what my customers needed. I mean isn't that the reason for someone wanting to start a business in the first place? To cater to a particular market or group of people? 
In our fast-paced world, we all know that time is a precious commodity. For both consumers and businesses, time saved is money earned. Embracing vending opportunities means embracing efficiency, allowing people to focus on what matters most. I did a lot of research before embarking on this venture to know the types of literature and products my target audience were looking for. Part of the reason why it was so easy was due to the fact that I WAS THE TARGET AUDIENCE. I knew what my children were missing.
Believe it or not, having many opportunities to be a vendor at events enabled me to perfect my business pitch. Being new in business and just plain old excited for the various opportunities I used to ramble off what I thought my consumer wanted to hear so I could just 'CLOSE THAT SALE'. What a BIG MISTAKE! It only took for me to be embarrassed once or twice to realize that the 2 minutes someone was willing to give me a listening ear, I had to be GENUINE in my approach. The money would always come, I first had to believe what I was saying.
Things have changed drastically for many entrepreneurs when it comes to showcasing what their businesses have to offer. Where many were once relyant on having brick or mortar stores, the change would come when vending became the next best thing. Diversity in vending offerings caters to evolving consumer preferences, proving that the vending industry is not just about convenience but also about keeping up with changing times, of which we are all doing.
CONNECTING WITH COMMUNITY!!
Three years later, I can say with confidence that had I not taken the time to put Colour Their World out there through engaging in various vending opportunities we wouldn't be as successful as we are now.
Participating in Markets and expos, are about convenience, entrepreneurship, time savings, diversity, and innovation. It puts one in a position to learn about and connect with their customers.
Listen, if you effectively market your brand and connect with the attendees at an event you can potentially attract and develop new and lasting customers. All of which I have done successfully!!
