Grateful for This Year Excited for the Year of Release

As the year comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on the incredible moments, the joyful connections, and the meaningful growth our company has been blessed to experience.
This year brought new opportunities, deeper relationships, and countless reminders of why we do what we do: to inspire, to educate, and to uplift children and communities through storytelling. I'm thankful for every school and public library that invited us to speak to your students.
From vending events to school presentations, from community partnerships to new creative projects, each moment has left me filled with gratitude.
None of this would be possible without the families, educators, students, supporters, and community members who continue to show us love every step of the way. Your smiles, your stories, and your support fuel my mission and truthfully, gives me the encourage to push forward.
It is not easy having a large family and running a business. You might be asking yourself what in the world is large!? I find that when people ask me how many children I have, they're not expecting to hear the response 'I have four'. They immediately look at me as though I'm out of my mind. I know it's not a popular decision, given these hard economic times though, I thank God for strengthening me to even juggle the two.
We will now be entering our sixth year in business and while I still must pinch myself at times for believing that it's still true, I graciously step into a brand-new year.
I'd like to call it The Year of Release, a season of unveiling new stories, new perspectives, and new opportunities for children everywhere to learn, grow, and dream.
I'm thrilled to announce two exciting new titles that reflect our commitment to representation, education, and empowerment.
It’s a Party, Period!  Coming Just in Time for International Women’s Month
This upcoming chapter book is close to my heart. I longed to find books that I could connect with and read as I stepped into the new chapter of my life when I became a young woman.
It’s a Party, Period! follows a group of vibrant sixth-grade girls navigating friendship, identity, and the sometimes confusing (but always important) transition into womanhood.
Through humour, honesty, and heartfelt moments, the story gently educates young readers about menstruation while celebrating the power of friendship and the beauty of coming into your own.
I personally think it's more than a book. It's a resource, a conversation starter, and a celebration of girlhood. And I cannot wait to share it.

🍊 The Juice Boss, A Story of Vision and Entrepreneurship
Our second upcoming release is The Juice Boss, a graphic novel filled with energy, bright imagination, and entrepreneurial spirit.
This story follows a determined and creative young boy who is less than impressed with the sugary, bland drinks at his neighbourhood corner store. Instead of settling, he gets bold. He uses his imagination and ambition to start his own juice business, crafting nutritional, flavourful beverages for his community.
This book shines a spotlight on:
  • The power of youth entrepreneurship
  • The importance of healthy choices
  • Vision, foresight, and leadership
  • How one child’s dream can uplift an entire neighbourhood
It's fun, inspiring, and packed with valuable lessons for children of all ages.
I'm looking forward to continue visiting  schools, libraries, community centres, and events, connecting with the hearts and minds of students, educators, and children across the country and beyond.
To everyone who has supported my company this year I sincerely thank you.
Thank you for believing in the mission.
Thank you for sharing our stories with your families.
Thank you for helping us bring more diverse, meaningful, and joyful literature into the world.
Your support means everything.
Here’s to a year filled with release, renewal, and remarkable new stories.
Stay tuned because the best is yet to come.
